The Health Department offers preventive, curative and rehabilitative health
services to the public. These services are provided in the two Divisions, namely;
Industrial and Northern Divisions. The department contributes to Human capital development by putting strategies
to ensure that the population is at optimal health,

- Providing quality, accessible, affordable & effective health services
- Rehabilitation of disabilities
Services:
- Disease prevention
- Ensure that Sanitation and hygiene are improved (personal & community) by enabling access to clean and safe water supply & proper waste management
- Promotion of innovative disease prevention technologies such as; vaccination and immunization
- Promotion of positive living measures for example healthy nutrition, exercise, avoid health risky behaviours (smoking, alcoholism, drug abuse)
